I was stationed at the Marble Mountain Air Facility, MAG-16, H&MS-16, Avionics Shop, from January, 1968, to December, 1969. I was on my second extension when I left Da Nang. I enjoyed your photos but they were taken after I had left. We still had matting in the parking areas for the helicopters and no concrete covers. Brings back a lot of memories.
My grandfather was CO of MAG-16 from ’66-’67, thank you for posting these pics
>Wow, I know a few men who were involved in this war. A close friend of the family was in the first wave. I cannot explain how much I appreciate your sacrifices. My fiance and brother are marines and are both deploying this year. So I feel a sense of closeness to your blog…
>@BigDog: Thank you for your sacrifice during your tour in the Vietnam War.
>Incredible photos! Thanks for sharing!
>These photos are giving me some serious flashbacks.
