HELP HONOR KOREAN WAR VETERANS ON THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ARMISTICE!
Did you know the average age of a veteran of the Korean War, known as “the Forgotten War,” is 81 years old? These proud men and women and their families who served and sacrificed for our country deserve to be recognized and honored for their service. If not now, when?
That’s why veterans need your help by posting the news of a National Commemoration Ceremony and a series of events across the country in recognition of the upcoming 60th anniversary of the Armistice, which ended the Korean War. More than 33,000 Americans were killed in the Korean War, over 100,000 were wounded and more than 7,000 are still missing in action.
The Department of Defense 60TH Anniversary Committee has organized a National Commemoration Ceremony with national leaders, veterans and their families on July 27 in Washington, D.C. That same day, there will also be hundreds of VFW Post “Pancakes for Patriots” viewing parties for those veterans and their families who couldn’t make it to Washington, D.C., but need to see and hear the event to be thanked and honored for their service.
PLEASE HELP VETERANS BY SPREADING THE WORD!
